The Clan MacLeod Society of Alberta was established and incorporated in Alberta in 1976 by a small group of enterprising clans folk. The MacLeod name is an important name in the history of Alberta and we take pride in that history. Although Colonel Macleod is the likely the most famous Macleod in Alberta, there were many Macleod families who came west between the late 17th and late 19th centuries.
Over the years our Society has remained small but solid with our former Secretary/Treasurer, Alma Macleod being a member since the early 80’s.
