August 15, 2019 – Gaelic word of the day: Gealladh – Promise
Just an update on the comings and goings of the last year. It was a busy year for the Clan. We’ve had a great year so far this year!
We started off the year with the creation of our new logo and adopting the new logo.
We then held some elections and got as many involved as we could, Randy MacLeod is still our President, Nancy Clark is our VP and Joy Tarrant is still Secretary-Treasurer. That got the momentum up and everyone came out for a BBQ at Beth’s this summer, an annual fun event that is strictly social.
The Calgary Highland Games were represented by Clan MacLeod Society of Alberta this year and we had a great time at the tent, meeting everyone and having alot of fun in spite of the wet and grey weather.
The next day Randy and his lovely wife Brenda went out to man the tent at the Canmore Highland Games and it was a beauty of a day for all.
Next event will be a Christmas function, more details to follow in October.
We sold some T-shirts with our new logo and we have some for sale so just contact any of us and we can get you whatever you need.
